We are Jes + Ben, a husband and wife team based in Central PA who offer hand crafted, personalized decor and gift giving experiences through laser engraving services. We are so humbled that you are here!

	Jes was born in Eastern PA and moved to Philadelphia while attending Temple University. She came to Hanover upon graduation and taught high school history for eleven years before taking her art, calligraphy and custom stationery business, JesSmith Designs, full time.
Jes met Ben in college while he attend Drexel University. Born and raised in Hanover, PA, Benjamin returned home shortly after leaving his engineering career to help in growing their family-owned concrete business.

Together, we have five kiddos whom we are sure you will get to meet along the way! Their ages range from 8 years old and our youngest set of twins turn two in October. We also have a furbaby, a chunky bunny named Sunny.

The idea of Script and Grain originated when Jessica's original business, JesSmith Designs, wanted to grow to offer products and not just custom calligraphy and stationery services. With the expansion, we invested our time and resources to investigate the best route that we could take together, in order to truly make this small business our own.
